About the  Department :


The District Information & Public Relations Office, Bongaigaon has been established since 1993. The duties of DIPRO Bongaigaon are attending meetings of various Govt. Departments and writing  Government  Press  Release and send the same with  photographs  to  Media persons. DIPRO also make arrangement  of  Press  Conference  and Publicity  throughout  the  local  cable TV channels, Government  function, multi-media  Campaigns etc. The Public Relations  is also establishing  the  relationship  among  various departments and public. The district Information & Public Relations Office, Bongaigaon Creates  awareness  on the Government  schemes  and  achievements  among  the  general  public , making  them  understand  the Government  schemes  with  F.L.S.( Fixed  Loud  Speaker )  and  ensuring  that  the  benefits  of the  schemes  reach  the  needy  are  the  endearness  of the  Departments.The Information & Public Relations Departments acts as the eyes and ears of the Government  disseminating  information  on the  activities  and  welfare  schemes  of the  Government  among  the  public, acting  as  a  bridge  of  goodwill between  the  Government  and  the  public.

     The Endearness of Department:

  1. To take  the schemes announced by the Government  of  Assam  to the  general  people through  various  Print  and  Electronic  Media  also  through  F.L.S.
  2. To create awareness on the schemes by organizing exhibition and photo exhibition.
  3. To make publicity of the development schemes and information advertisement.
  4. To publish the schemes, development activities and achievements of the Government  of  Assam  and  Special  publication.
  5. To honour freedom fighters, beneficiaries and emulate leaders by organizing function.
  6. To honour the great  leaders  by  constructing memories so that the  younger  generation  emulate  their great  qualities .
  7. To Produce  News  reel  bulletins  on the Government  schemes  and  to  screen them  in rural  areas  and  theatres.
  8. To  create  future  cine  professionals  by  offering  courses  in technical’s  aspects of  film  and  television  production.
