About the Department :
The District Elementary Education Office’s functioning with the following categories of Offices:-
A. The Block Elementary Education Officer functioning in the Block level Elementary Schools both LP and UP Schools in Bongaigaon District having 3 (three) nos. of Educational Block Office’s i.e
(i) Block Elementary Education Office, Srijangram.
(ii) Block Elementary Education Office, Boitamari.
(iii) Block Elementary Education Office, Manikpur.
B. The Deputy Inspector of Schools are functioning in the Sub-Division level Elementary Schools both LP and UP Schools in Bongaigaon District 2 (Two) nos of Deputy Inspector of Schools Offices i.e
(i) Deputy Inspector of Schools, North Salmara, Abhayapuri and
(ii) Deputy Inspector of Schools, Bongaigaon.
C. In the District head quarter functioning the District Elementary Education Officer, Bongaigaon.
Schemes:
Hon’ble Chief Minister’s Special Scholarship Examination (end of the academic year) for Class-V and Class-VIII students and the beneficiary selected on merit basis, the beneficiaries awarded @ Rs. 5000.00 (Five Thousand) only as fixed deposit for Class-V and Class-VIII students.
ii. Pre-matric Scholarship up to Class-VIII in Elementary Schools students belongs to Minority Community. The beneficiaries applied through online basis, under the Director of Assam Minority Development Board.
iii. Pre-matric Scholarship up to Class-VIII in Elementary Schools students belongs to ST(P)/ ST(H)/ SC/ OBC/ MOBC. This schemes beneficiaries awarded by the Social Welfare Department, Govt of Assam.
